There are many interesting places to visit in Devon. Here are a few that are near to Kestrel:

Compton Castle

Dramatic fortified manor house. National Trust. Small shop and cafe across the road (not NT)

Dartington Hall

A working education centre well known for Music and Arts courses and festivals. The Hall is also worth a visit and the grounds are excellent for walks, both in the formal gardens and longer walks along the River Dart. Shop, exhibition space and cafes. www.dartington.org

Cider Press Centre, Dartington
